Release with Yin Yoga
TUE JUL 21, 4 - 5 PM IST

| A Soma Studio Practice |

Soften into the deeper layers of your body through this Yin Yoga practice for fascial release & restoration.

These slow, meditative sessions invite you to unwind tension, balance your nervous system & rehydrate tissues within the body’s connective matrix.

In contrast to more dynamic, yang styles of practice, Yin Yoga works with mild, sustained postures, allowing the muscles to relax so that gentle stress can be placed on the deeper connective tissues - fascia, ligaments, & joints. Over time, this subtle loading supports hydration & mobility, helping the body re-organise itself from within.

Rather than immediate ease, you may at times feel a sense of intensity, fragility or dull sensation. These are signs that the tissues are being meaningfully stimulated. With rest & integration, the body responds by becoming more resilient, fluid & alive.

Each class offers space to:

  • Gently stress & strengthen the connective tissues

  • Support hydration & fluid movement through the fascial network

  • Release held tension & restore suppleness

  • Encourage parasympathetic activation & deep rest

  • Cultivate sensitivity to subtle sensation & inner experience

Yin Yoga complements more active practices, forming the other half of a complete approach to the body; balancing effort with receptivity & activation with release.
