Step into the Fire Phase, a 10-week journey exploring the seasonal correspondences of the Fire element of Chinese Medicine and its reflection in the body, soul, nature and cosmos.

This cycle will guide you to cultivate the essence of fire, integrating body, energy and imagination into your daily life.

What to Expect

Week 1: Seasonal & Cosmic Orientation

• Orient yourself on Earth with an exploration of the Celtic Wheel of Life & the Bealtaine fire festival

• Orient yourself in the cosmos through the dance of the Sun and Earth along the Zodiac, and the constellations visible during the Fire Phase

Week 2: Introduction to the Five Phases

• An introduction to the five phases of Chinese Medicine (Wu Xing)

• Explore their physiological and emotional correspondences

• Learn the Nourishing & Regulating cycles as they relate to Fire

Week 3: Live Online Discussion

Week 4: Heart & Cardiovascular System

• Revisit traditional perspectives on the heart’s role in circulation and soulful perception

• Explore alternative and emerging perspectives on the intelligence and function of the heart

Week 5: Hormonal Health

• An overview of hormonal rhythms across the life cycle

• A foundational look at supporting balance in estrogen and testosterone

• Explore herbs that support heart health

• In-depth plant profiles for five key Fire-phase allies

Week 8: Herbal Remedy Mini Workshop

• Formulate and prepare a heart-supporting tea blend (Rosehips, Yarrow, Hibiscus)

• Learn to make a tincture using Hawthorn and Motherwort

Week 9: Myth & Archetype Mini Workshop (optional)

• Explore the dynamic relationship between Apollo and Dionysus

• Understand how these archetypes reflect inner dynamics and creative expression

• Engage this polarity through the philosophical lens of Friedrich Nietzsche and Marsilio Ficino
